Definition
A referral program tracks invitations through a referral link, code, or another approved attribution method. A qualifying referral may generate a fixed reward, a share of eligible fees, or a benefit for both parties. The reward structure differs from one program to another and is not necessarily a continuing commission.
How It Works
The invited user normally needs to register through the recognized route and satisfy specified conditions. These can include identity verification, an eligible deposit, or qualifying trading activity within a time limit. The platform checks attribution and eligibility before calculating or releasing the reward. A sign-up alone may not be sufficient.
Key Considerations
Promotional rewards do not make a platform or trade suitable for the invitee. A fee-based reward can create an incentive for the referrer to encourage more trading, so that relationship should be clear. Check regional availability, excluded activity, expiry, and withdrawal restrictions; do not assume old codes or advertised maximum rates apply to every account.
